Congress is an exciting and bustling time of the year. As a previous attendee of many Congresses, I have always enjoyed power in the variety of content offered and the many activities to keep me engaged and, most importantly, inspired by passion and purpose. How are we going to support your power to shape, your passion to heal, and your purpose to persevere? In addition to offering familiar Congress scheduling, such as track-based sessions and Learning Hall activities, we have a myriad of new features to this year’s Congress.

The Oncology Nursing Society values the feedback from past Congress attendees, so exciting opportunities for those attending this year’s Congress have been introduced. New additions include the following:

Quality Improvement Oral Abstracts

Improving the quality of care for patients with cancer is vital in order to improve outcomes. There are many initiatives focused on improving quality of care in oncology nursing that require dissemination. Join our oncology colleagues as they share their quality improvement initiatives.

Research Moderated Abstracts

Adding to the body of nursing science in oncology is important in order to continue to advance as a profession. Join our oncology colleagues as a moderator leads each presenter through an engaging discussion of the advancing research.

Other new features this year will include the addition of our international colleagues’ poster presentations and a poster walk. The 2020 ONS Congress Content Planning Team is in full gear planning for a spectacular Congress! We are anticipating your arrival in San Antonio, TX. Please take a look at the 2020 Congress schedule to start planning your attendance for both returning and new Congress features.
