Shannon Holzer, ONS Chapter Activities Coordinator
ONS membership comes with a bevy of benefits, but did you know these benefits extend to the annual ONS Congress? Read on to find out how your membership can benefit you in San Antonio!
Did you know it’s cheaper to be an ONS member and attend Congress than it is to register as a nonmember? If you are a current RN, joining ONS and registering for Congress can save more than $150 over the nonmember price.
In addition, ONS members save $120 on ONCC certification exams, which, once certified, grants them access to the ONCC Oasis at Congress.
Being a member allows you to be among the first to be notified of scholarship opportunities to attend Congress. Whether they are through the Oncology Nursing Foundation or your local chapter, there are plenty of ways to receive funding to help offset costs.
Members are also some of the first to receive communication about the annual ONS Awards, which are presented each year at Congress.
As an ONS member, you are granted access to the ONS Communities—a platform that brings together nurses in similar areas of practice to discuss their issues, challenges, and successes. Congress is a great place to meet these colleagues face-to-face.
Additionally, many local chapters members attend Congress together, which can help you take advantage of group rates, cut down on travel and hotel costs, and give you built-in travel buddies.
Register now so you can celebrate your power, passion, and purpose in San Antonio on April 29–May 3, 2020.
