Moral distress is a well-known concern in oncology nursing. Oncology nurses are at high risk for this. It can lead to compassion fatigue, burnout, and even interfere with their overall well-being.
It’s a significant problem in nursing that can impact quality of care, increase costs of a healthcare organization, and leave nurses physically and emotionally exhausted. Self-care is imperative to maintain a healthy work environment.
Nurse researchers, leaders, educators, and staff nurses are encouraged to attend this session to discuss resiliency in oncology nursing and to come away with tools that can be implemented in their work environment. Compassionate Care and Resiliency in Oncology Nursing is a must attend at 2:45 pm on Saturday, April 13, at the ONS 44th Annual Congress.
