Did you know the ONS Foundation has hosted the Fun Run, Walk, and Wheelchair as part of Congress each and every year for the last 26 years.

However, at the 42nd Annual Congress in Denver, we have a unique opportunity  to introduce a variation into our ONS Foundation slate of events. The ONS Foundation is considering hosting a yoga session(s) in replacement of the traditional Fun Run.

Have you never done yoga before? Don’t worry, first timers all the way through masters will be welcomed and expected. Yoga brings people together in an enjoyable and relaxing environment, which can be the perfect way to start the busy Congress day. However, the fresh mountain air enjoyed during the Fun Run can have the same effect.  This is why we need your help.

We seek your opinion: Fun Run or yoga.  Please complete the simple questionnaire linked below.  Completing the questions will take you less than two minutes. To thank you for your participation, enter your email for a chance to win. Two survey respondents will be randomly chosen and sent a “Keep Calm I’m an Oncology Nurse” t-shirt.

The poll has now closed. Thank you to all who voted. We look forward to seeing you all in Denver!

Yoga. As nurses we run everyday from patient to patient and task to task. Far to rarely are we given an opportunity to just be. To breathe. To be mindful or mindless. These are exactly some of the moments we need to renew ourselves so we can be present in the moment with our patients when they need us most.
