Brought to you by Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD)

As a global medical technology company, Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) seeks to support patients and customers not only through our products, but also by partnering with organizations and groups that make a difference in patients’ lives. BD is proud to support Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a nonprofit, support and educational organization designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible, tax-exempt organization, founded in 2012 in celebration of Amanda Hope’s life.

During her three-year fight with leukemia and nine-month battle with a brain tumor, Amanda Hope dreamed that one day she would design a fun clothing line for kids just like her that would provide comfort and dignity during chemo treatments. She envisioned and designed a shirt that would give all children a sense of dignity and control: Comfycozy’s for Chemo.

The adaptive apparel line has zippers, buttons, snaps, pockets, and openings to allow nurses to access the child’s port while allowing them to remain covered. They asked for hoodies, dresses, onesies for infants, and shirts designed in a variety of colors. Amanda’s life ended all too soon but her dream lives on through Comfycozy’s for Chemo apparel and her legacy continues with Amanda Hope’s expansion of programs and services.

Partnering with both in-patient and out-patient hospitals, Comfycozy’s for Chemo apparel items have been provided to more than 10,000 warriors. Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels has shipped Comfycozy’s for Chemo to every state and multiple countries. They will continue to expand distribution to the many hospitals who have expressed an interest across the country until they fulfill Amanda’s dream of helping every child battling cancer.
