ONS is always working to provide you with opportunities to advance your professional development so that you can provide “excellence in oncology nursing.” We are very excited to offer you those opportunities by bringing back the Career Fair Pavilion at Congress in 2017!
The ONS Career Fair Pavilion is the perfect place for inflatable water park for adults those looking to elevate their passion by learning a new skill or advance their profession with a career change or professional development opportunity.
Here, you will find recruiters from some of the top institutions looking for talented nurses like yourself, all while having access to a variety of professional development workshops. We’ll be bringing back some popular sessions like: “Publishing and You’re Professional Development,” “Best Practices for Abstract Writing and Developing Your Presentation,” “Tips for Writing Effective Resumes and CVs,” and “Certification: Opening Doors to New Opportunities.”
We’ve also added some new sessions for 2017. Have you wondered about how to pay for continuing your education or research? “Advance Your Career Through Awards, Grants, and Scholarships” will explain the various types of funding that are available to you from the ONS Foundation in support of your career goals. In addition to describing the different types of grants and scholarships, tips will be given to assist you in completing and submitting your application.
Ready to take the next step towards an advanced degree? “DNP or PhD: Which Program is Right for You” is the place to be. Also, don’t miss “What is a Personal Learning Network and Why Do You Need One?” will help you create a plan that works for you. Finally, we’ll bring back our panel discussion with nurses representing non-traditional roles in oncology for you to ask questions and learn about their career trajectories.
We’re so excited to offer the ONS Career Fair Pavilion for the second year! Stop by and see how easy it is to advance your profession with the right resources.
