The ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration course provides nurses with the tools to understand how antineoplastic medications are used in cancer and non-cancer treatment, the effect of medication-related toxicities, and evidence-based recommendations to manage and treat these toxicities. The content of this course is aligned with the ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice (second edition).

This expanded and revised course has been designed to include new antineoplastic therapies approved since the prior version, as well as new evidence relating to nursing care of the patient receiving these therapies.

This course is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and other healthcare professionals new to oncology who provide care for patients receiving antineoplastic therapy and/or those preparing for a nursing practice that includes administration for non-oncology indications.
