What to Bring, See, and Eat in Historic San Antonio, TX

Who is excited for ONS Congress®? I know I am! If you have never been to ONS Congress you might ask yourself, what do I need to bring with me to this conference and/or what can I explore in between sessions or downtime?

What to Bring

  • Mobile device (and charger) with the ONS Congress app downloaded. The app is a one stop shop for choosing sessions, accessing posters, finding information about how you can participate in Q&A during sessions, and more.

  • Conference registration email confirmation. Keeping this email handy will help make the check in process easier.

  • Business cards. Always keep these handy for those important networking opportunities.

  • Water bottle. There will be various water fill stations to help keep you hydrated during the day.

  • Notebook, pens, or something to take notes in. Help keep track of all the amazing projects and initiatives you will want to start at your own organization.

What to Wear

As a Wisconsin girl, I am very excited to leave the winter wonderland and come to Texas for some sun. Before I throw flip flops and shorts in my suitcase, we should talk about what to wear at Congress.

  • COMFY SHOES! Comfort is key at conferences so pack shoes that you are comfortable walking in for those long days, especially if you are participating in the 30th Annual Oncology Nursing Foundation/Pfizer Fun Run/Walk and Wheelchair event on Saturday morning.

  • Business Casual clothes with layers. Be sure to dress for success but remember that layers are important as it can be difficult to control temperatures in the large conference centers.
